i-Sprint Innovations (“i-Sprint”) is proud to announce the collaboration with Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai Campus (“BITZ”) in the establishment of i-Sprint Innovations Security Lab in their campus.
The official opening ceremony was held on 15th April 2013 in BITZ. Mr. Simon Leung, Chairman of i-Sprint, Mr. Albert Ching, CEO of i-Sprint and Mr. Dutch Ng, COO of i-Sprint were specially invited to attend this ceremony.
With the increasing focus on international banking and finance compliance, Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing and trend in Information security awareness, i-Sprint and BITZ are combining strengths in technology, research and marketplace awareness to better identify and integrate Information security products in the local market.
i-Sprint Innovations Security Lab provides a teaching and research platform for the students to be exposed to advanced, bank-grade information security software. With the wide adoption of Cloud Computing and Mobile Computing, this Lab will provide the research environment for BITZ’s teaching staff and students to gain insight how i-Sprint’s proven security solutions can address the security requirements in those new computing platform and explore new security solutions based on i-Sprint’s security technologies. This alliance formed between i-Sprint and BITZ demonstrates i-Sprint’s commitment to their corporate social responsibility initiative in training the next generation of information security professionals in China.
i-Sprint also contributed to the software and hardware infrastructure in the establishment of the Lab, with the total value amounting to RMB 500,000.
Tapping into i-Sprint’s expertise, BITZ has also introduced a Global Information Security Internship Program to their students in September last year, offering them Information Security focused training and international exposure. This program provides project-oriented trainings, which will equip BITZ students with information security knowledge delivered through classroom settings by information security experts as well as giving them a chance to be exposed to real world working experience with professionals in a multi-cultural environment.
Dr. Lu Lianggang, President of BITZ’s Computer College said the collaboration with i-Sprint Innovations would enlarge the students’ knowledge through i-Sprint’s unique and leading technology, which will prepare the students to be professionals in the area of Information Security, a growing demand in China.
Chief Engineer of Zhuhai Government Information Office, Dr. Wang Linxiang expressed the importance of such cooperation between BITZ and i-Sprint. He pointed out that information security and authentication is an emerging need recognized by both enterprises as well as government sector.
